This large old-world Lucanidae beetle is roughly 4” in width and 3.5” in height.
The box is approx. 6" in height, 9" in width, and 2.5" in depth. Within, the beetle comes exactly as pictured in the photos (this is the product) and is a dead/preserved specimen.
The box is handmade from Poplar wood, and the glass is hand-cut; although Poplar wood is a long-lasting wood, a layer of shellac has also been applied to act as a sealant and give it some shine.
The Lucanidae beetle was Hand Pinned into the observed position and left to dry for over 4 weeks to ensure durability when framed.
