These large old-world Buprestidae beetles are roughly 3” in width and 1.75” in height on the bottom and 1.5" in width and 1" in height on top.
The box is approx. 7.5" in height, 6" in width, and 1.5" in depth. Within, the beetles come exactly as pictured in the photos (this is the product) and are dead/preserved specimens.
The box is handmade from Poplar wood, and the glass is hand-cut; although Poplar wood is a long-lasting wood, a layer of shellac has also been applied to act as a sealant and give it some shine.
The Buprestidae beetles were Hand Pinned into the observed position and left to dry for over 4 weeks to ensure durability when framed.
